Supplies you'll need to make your own pysanka

Specialty Supplies:

• dyes: there are a myriad of colors to choose from--for the designs on my site, you'll need yellow, light blue, light green, orange, bright red, black
• orange dye wash (extra orange dye)
• kistka (stylus) - buy at least one of each: fine, medium, large - get a medium, if you can only get one
• beeswax (block)
• egg blower (optional, several styles available)
• syringe (optional, fine needle)
• varnish (optional, choose oil based products so the water based pysanky dyes won't run)

Household Supplies:

• white eggs
• white vinegar
• newspaper
• tissues, and lots of them!
• candles
• spoons
• pencil (a light one, or a "non-repro blue")
• cotton swabs
• elastic bands
• bleach (optional)
• drying rack
